Infoproducts are NOT Oversaturated

I know, I know…

That’s the way that it feels.

It seems like everyone is offering a course, a digital product or something similar.

But according to Statista.com:

…”the eLearning industry is going to grow to almost a quarter of a trillion dollars this year.”

Yes you read that right, TRILLION. That’s almost $250 billion dollars in digital learning sales.

Here’s the thing, there’s a difference between saturation and sustenance.

There’s a lot of people doing it, yes. But there isn’t anyone who has the sustenance that you can bring your specific industry or niche.

You don’t need billions.

If you’re trying to make a living (let’s say) then you only need:

  • 2,000 people to pay you $50
  • 1,000 people to pay you $100
  • 500 people to pay you $200
  • 200 people to pay you $500
  • 100 people to pay you $1,000

…or any combination of the above and in between to make your first 6-figures with your digital courses.

I’ve been running digital course launches and related products for years now, for some of the biggest names in the industry.

I still believe this is the #1 way for a family to start making multiple six figures by sharing their story through comfort, hope and edification.

…in the form of an infoproduct!

You have a tribe of people out there.

You have audiences who need what you’ve been through.

You have brands that would support you to create content for those people.

It’s all possible, and it’s all possible today.

Let’s dive into the 8 Reasons You Need to Start an Infoproduct Business Today!!

God can still use your story

One of the limiting beliefs we can have is that our story isn’t worth sharing, that it’s not powerful enough, or that it’s unrelatable to other people.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but, God isn’t done with your story—part of the next chapter is sharing that story in an edifying and educative way.

Let’s be real:

  • You didn’t go through what you went through to keep it in your head and heart
  • You will find healing by bringing comfort to other people
  • You will find community through sharing your life with others

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NIV)

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”

Your business becomes your ministry

I went to bible school for pastoral ministry and worship.

I thought FOR SURE I was going to be a full time pastor and maybe plant a church and live that “sold out” life.

It took me years to realize that you don’t have to be in the pulpit or on the missions field to be sold out.

You can be sold out behind a camera, in front of a live audience, in the comment section, at a conference, and in the growth of your community and business.

Now, that’s not the ONLY thing you need in life, but when it comes to the crossroads of business and ministry, your business IS your ministry.

And if we go deeper, whether you like it or not, cash is a tool.

The success of your business allows you to give to others, set them up for freedom and success, and support churches and organizations consistently and effectively.

We were all called to carry gifts of the Holy Spirit.

All of us have some type of 5-fold calling inside of us: prophet, teacher, pastor, evangelist, apostle. You can use an aspect of one of those gifts inside of your business as the mechanism for reaching the hearts of people.

Colossians 3:23-24 (NIV)

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

This will be the entry into other arenas

I get it, someone told you to do:

  • ecommerce
  • dropshipping
  • network marketing
  • TikTok shop videos
  • affiliate marketing
  • your own clothing line
  • commissioned sales

…or something else that sounded attractive until it was time to implement it.

Or they wanted you to join their mastermind, their course or something else. We get it.

A lot of folks see a future where they have a thriving business in a specific area…like a makeup line or outdoors products.

Whatever “physical or digital” business you want to have IN THE FUTURE relies on your pathway now.

Which is sharing your information…and not for free.

By using the established method, you can evangelize your infoproduct in a way that generates a tribe around the value that you offer.

Revelation 3:8 (NIV)

I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.

You will get your time and rest back

Sometimes we grow weary and burnt out from constantly chasing things that aren’t growing and giving us life.

The great part about information is that it pays you in compound interest and effort. You build the first course, workshop or digital asset, and it lives on as you begin to develop other aspects of your infoproduct business:

  • Information pays you while you rest
  • Information pays you while you reset
  • Information pays you while you get new revelation
  • Information pays you while you release the next thing

So, just remember, if you’re weary of the same thing that you’ve been doing for a while now, there’s rest coming.

Exodus 33:14 (NIV)

“The Lord replied, ‘My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.'”

It doesn’t cost much to get started

With the technology in your pocket and a little storytelling charisma, you can get attention TODAY. You’ve heard it a million times but you may have never believed it for yourself. Think about Jesus anytime He went somewhere. NEWS. SPREADS. FAST. So if you carry the same spirit that rose Jesus from the grave, why can you not release and spread your Godly message in the same way?

  • You can share your ideas today
  • You can record your product today
  • You can market your product today
  • You can serve your customers today

…btw, I literally mean today. Go post 2-3 passionate, insightful, educative, or entertaining videos and watch what happens on 1x days time.

Matthew 28-18-20

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.”

The skills required you already have

We tend to think that marketing and advertising are hard aspects of building a business so it feels foreign to us as individuals.

But you already know:

  • how to communicate
  • how to discern reality (what people really need)
  • how to have passion for something you love
  • how to convince/enroll people into an idea.

You do these things every day and have your entire life. Convincing your friends and family to do things and go places—thinking of how to present the idea, how to fashion it in a way that they would receive the communication, and how to incentivize them to take action.

Without a fresh perspective on marketing’s simplistic nature, you can feel like marketing activities are sleazy. In the same way you knew how to get $50 from your mom, is the same way you market to your customer. Instead of doing extra chores, helping with tasks, or giving them rest, you’re exchanging value to your customers for their contact information and eventually their sale.

Just because the marketing world gives these characteristics fancy marketing names (like acquisition, nurturing, engagement, and touchpoints) doesn’t make them undoable or unobtainable skills for you RIGHT NOW.

The technology is simple

Your smartphone can generate you millions of views as you read this.

Modern technology has made it easier than ever to reach a wide audience and grow your business. With simple tools and platforms like social media and content creation software, you can amplify your message and connect with millions of people worldwide.

Every time that I’ve built a significant audience for one of my brands or the creators we’ve worked with, things grow…and fast.

  • My wife generated over 20 million views on her own name hashtag in a few months #jpalizay
  • My daughters generated over 1 million views in their first 90 days on social media
  • We’ve continually grown accounts to over 50-100k followers in the first 3-6 months of launching. It just takes:
    • Timing
    • Accuracy
    • Sustenance of message
    • Consistency
    • Passion

The software is simple

User-friendly platforms like Kajabi, Teachable, and Thinkific provide all the tools you need to create, market, and sell your products or services online. Additionally, subscription plans on social media platforms offer opportunities to monetize your content and engage with your audience.

The former has free trials, and the latter you can start now for now cost.

Remember, the sustenance is what people are paying you for, even in heavily saturated industries.

You have to trust that God knew all of these platforms and technologies would exist before he brought you through your challenges.

Which means, IT’S OK to use the platforms to spread your message and monetize your audience.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
