Established Family Trusted is a network, certification, and covering for providers committed to the biblical stewardship of marriages and families.
Those who carry the Established Family Trusted designation have demonstrated a commitment to serve individuals, spouses, and families from a foundation rooted in Scripture, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and God’s design for marriage and family.
As an organization, Established Family has become a trusted voice for marriages around the world because we have remained unwavering in our convictions. We believe God’s Word is sufficient, His design for marriage is good, and His truth does not need to be rewritten to accommodate culture.
Everything we do is built upon the belief that God’s design for the individual, the family, and the covenant of marriage is worthy of protection, advocacy, and restoration.
For years, we have heard from spouses who felt unseen, unsupported, and unequipped in their pursuit of marriage restoration and family health. Many have told us they spent years seeking help without ever receiving clear biblical guidance concerning marriage, covenant, repentance, forgiveness, discipleship, and restoration.
We believe counseling can be more effective, the psychology industry needs biblical accountability and reform, and the Church should lead the way in restoring marriages and families.
That’s why Established Family Trusted exists.
You are called to marriages and families. Your calling needs

FAQ’s about Established Family Trusted
What makes someone Established Family Trusted?
All Established Family Trusted providers go through an application, background check, and interview process with our founders, Derek and Jordan Palizay. Additionally, In-Network and Out-of-Network partners complete the mandatory 20-hour TheoPsychology™ Certification.
When a provider receives the Established Family Trusted designation, it means they have demonstrated theological alignment, a commitment to marriage and family restoration, and the ability to disciple and minister through the full gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Do I have to be licensed to join?
No. Established Family Trusted includes both licensed and unlicensed providers.
In-Network providers serve under Established Family’s systems, processes, and oversight. Out-of-Network providers continue operating independently under their existing licenses, certifications, ministries, or organizations while adding Established Family Trusted as a recognized certification and network affiliation.
What is the difference between In-Network, Out-of-Network, and Church/Ministry membership?
In-Network Providers join the Established Family team as coaches, counselors, or therapists. We handle client acquisition, scheduling, systems, and practice management while maintaining a filled client load based on agreed-upon availability.
Out-of-Network Partners operate independently while remaining connected to the EFT network. They receive a directory listing, access to overflow referrals, annual in-person events, ongoing training, practice resources, and community.
Churches and Ministries join as trusted referral partners and gain access to training, resources, collaboration opportunities, and referral relationships within the EFT network.
How long does the approval process take?
Most applications are reviewed within 2-3 weeks. In-network, however, can take up to 30-45 days and includes a spousal interview when necessary.
The application typically takes 15-30 minutes to complete. Background checks and interviews are generally completed within the first week, and approval or denial decisions are typically made within one week of receiving the completed background check.
What are the benefits of becoming Established Family Trusted?
Benefits vary by membership type but may include:
- Filled client loads for In-Network providers
- Referral opportunities for Out-of-Network partners, churches, and ministries
- TheoPsychology™ Certification
- Transfer of trust through the Established Family Trusted designation
- Proven frameworks, activations, and discipleship resources
- Access to The Marriage Academy
- Partner pricing on licenses, resources, and training
- Annual in-person events and continuing education opportunities
The TheoPsychology™ Certification fee is currently waived for the first 20 approved providers.
Will I receive referrals?
Yes, although referral volume varies by membership type.
In-Network providers receive a filled client load based on their agreed-upon availability and scheduling capacity.
Out-of-Network partners receive referral opportunities through overflow demand from Established Family’s counseling practice, coaching programs, and ministry outreach. Approval into the network does not guarantee a specific number of referrals. Future membership tiers may include expanded referral opportunities.
In addition, Established Family regularly connects new community members and clients with their nearest Established Family Trusted church, ministry, or provider for discipleship, local community, marriage support, deliverance ministry, pastoral care, and ongoing spiritual growth.
Our goal is not simply to refer clients, but to connect families with the right support system for long-term restoration and discipleship.
Do I have to agree with Established Family's theology?
Yes.
All providers must affirm the authority of Scripture and align with the core theological convictions outlined in our Statement of Beliefs.
Providers must not promote divorce as a solution to marital conflict outside of direct abuse situations. They must not encourage accusation-based or blame-centered approaches to marriage restoration and must affirm the role of the Gospel and the Holy Spirit in personal and relational transformation.
Providers must also agree with the core principles of TheoPsychology™, including the restoration of spirit, soul, and body as outlined in 1 Thessalonians 5:23.
Established Family Trusted maintains an extensive vetting process and ongoing client feedback system. Violations of these standards may result in immediate removal from the network.
Can I join if I already have an operating practice or ministry?
Yes.
Absolutely.
Most existing practices, churches, ministries, and organizations join as Out-of-Network Partners or Church/Ministry members while continuing to operate independently.
Is this available outside the United States?
Yes.
International applicants are welcome. However, all providers remain responsible for complying with their local laws, licensing requirements, ministry regulations, and organizational bylaws.
